Fuseboard installation in Guildford period home
We completed a full electrical refit across a large period property in Sheer, working alongside the builder over two years in multiple phases. The old consumer unit was tucked away in the kitchen under a fitted bench, which meant it had to come out when that area was stripped back. The customer wanted the new fuseboard positioned centrally in the property for better access and safety, so we relocated it to a storage cupboard in the middle of the house which also made wiring efficient. Once we'd identified the new location, we had to run a sub-main cable from the new mains incoming point which was also relocated by the during the refurb. The new fuseboard is now centrally positioned and properly accessible, with the mains supply neatly routed in from outside. The customer has a modern, safe electrical setup that works for how they actually use the space, rather than being hidden away in a kitchen corner. It's the kind of job that takes time and coordination, but it's worth getting right from the start.
